I like the 3.73 that's in our vans. Ones a day van others fully loaded work van bouncing the 3.5t limit permanently. It's fine for on the road speeds and for pulling away.
There both 2.4 115ps.

I had this configuration in my van with no problems and it was usually 3/4 loaded.

On past experience I would say a 100ps van wouldnt have much trouble with a 3.73 diff but there is one in between the 3.73 and the 5.11, I forget its ratio but its in the 4's somwhere.

There's a 4.23 which is the one fitted to my 85ps. I wouldn't go any lower than that on a 100 PS 5 speed, because you'll be up and down the gearbox all the time.

Its 5 speed.
Found a 3.73 local at a fair price.
Phoned several places and they did not know what ratio the diffs they had were or could not be bothered to look !!

Mk7 4.27 is a good all-rounder, not too short and runs on the motorway ok 60mph @ ~2500-2600rpm....good for towing too.

3.73 could mean your pull-away speed is a little slower especially with lower ps than mine was, but it will mean your motorway speed will be 70 at 2500rpm so thats 10mph more than a 4.27 axle and better economy at motorway speeds.

Nah.....3500-3600 rpm @ 60 mph would be revving it's marbles off. Try running a 5.xx ratio and see how you go.
