fordtransit smoking probblem o9 xlwb

Postby shortone2 » Fri Aug 17, 2018 5:04 am

Hi, this is is my first attempt at post.
and hi to all members.
have recently purchased my transit from a small garage.on driving noticed straight away that smoked when hot
took it back and was informed that a new turbo had been fitted. And oil in cat so take a while to burnout....
three weeks later back again, this time they changed injector.
still smokes when warm not all the time though, when i stop can hear bubbling in reservoir bottle, but does not overheat, no loss of power and pulls like a train, not mechanically minded any ideas many thanks tony

bubbling in the header tank :?:

I suspect head gasket :!:

or egr cooler :!:

you say you have had injectors changed ?

why did they changed them :!: have they done the correct way of doing these i.e pump and pilot learn :?: using IDS diagnostics or another very good diagnostics system.

i personally think the garage is pulling the wool over your eyes

and they dont have a clue whats wrong or for that matter the transit
