The fault will clear itself, and the light will go off after a few miles, but you should really get the pcm updated by Ford to improve the life of the new egr

My van is having a problem like the one people are posting here,im getting a bit of a hesitation when cold, but its okay running around, but if I try and give the van some decent revs I get the engine malfunction light on and theres no power,i have to stop and restart the engine and its fine again, could this be the return valve problem aswell?

Thanks Al

hi guys, I have the same engine malfunction message now on my dash, Mk7 transit sport 2012 with 38k on it.

I don't seem to have any hunting so I wasn't sure if mine needed the SCV and PRV? Mine does the message and won't rev past 2.5-3k. If I switch off the ignition and back on it clears for a few secs or a few mins, it varies....What would you think it is? EGR? or the SCV etc?

I was going to replace them myself but if its the SCV do I need to have it plugged into the OBD port to reset? or is it a case of fit and forget...??

We've said it before and we'll say it again......

mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

Codes as below

I went and got the one that goes on the end of the pump and have replaced it.

The guy in ford said that my engine didn't have the one on the end of the rail but I'm pretty sure this is it.

I local supplier said that I could get it but it needed to come with the fuel rail included. I think I have managed to get one separately and its coming tomorrow.

Do the codes suggest that I need to do the air flow sensor too? or is that part of my original problem?

Cutch...yours is not a Denso Euro-IV...looks like a Siemens Euro-V setup...completely different injection setup to the ones in this thread and totally different diagnosing requirements.

You don't have the normal SCV & PRV linke the Euro-IV machines.

The "thing" you point to is just the rail pressure sensor.
