If cam timing was out, it would never start, they need cam/crank sync to start.

Fuel pump doesn't need to be timed as it's TDCi.

Were the learns done after engine was up and running..??

Tapping noise could be a poorly hydraulic valve lash adjuster.

Thanks for your reply .

The learns were done for the injectors .can’t do it for thé vcm solenoid job with my
Diagnostic tool .
Tried listening to the adjusters with a piece of pipe onto
the rocker cover but can’t here anything nasty .

Injectors coded into the PCM using their 16 digit correction factor codes..?? Pump, pilot and injector learns "must" be done successfully or it will never run properly and you're wasting your time.. You need Forscan.

I do have a proper tool to program injectors and correction codes was done successfully .
The engine runs perfectly ! The problem
Is a loud tapping/knocking noise once the engine is up to temperature. The engine supplier now admits that it can’t be timing as it would do it all the time and is now in touch with the manufacturer. And yes it is a genuine Ford new engine .

I can now confirm that it’s not the timing as I have stripped cover off etc and everything is still perfect .

Can't be the cam timing anyway, if it was out it would never run....they need cam/crank sync to start, So I'm afraid you've pulled the timing cover off for no reason.

Have you checked that your injector clamp bolts are to correct torque and that the clamps themselves aren’t jumping ?

Yes ! About 3 times ! Took rocker cover off and everything looks good there !
Even put old injectors back in but still getting a loud tapping but only when the engine
gets up to operating temperature ! ( After about 5 miles )

As mentioned previously....You may have a dead hydraulic lash adjuster.

Rocker cover off, rocker ladder off... and physically check each one.
