2008 Mk7 FWD Steering Column UJ Boot

Postby Altransit » Sun Mar 24, 2024 11:06 pm

Whilst faffing about changing my ignition switch the other day, I happened to notice the state of the above boot. I don't normally have my head that near to the floor, so it could have been like it for ages, so my questions are:-
1/ How important is the integrity of said boot?
2/ How easy is it to replace if replacement is needed?

I've never seen a topic come up on here relating to this, so has anyone replaced one?

It is indeed, just a boot, but yours is in one piece, and mine isn't
