White & green wire is "watchdog" link between pump & pcm, makes you wonder if your pump was changed for this reason........

I apoligise for the poor pics.

The first shows the loom section where it had been chaffing against the starter motor, an obvious sign but it was much worse when stripped back.

The second shows it when stripped back, it looks like a mouse has taken a chunk from the wiring, once the powdered copper wire was cleaned up there was nothing left, just insulation so it was an official broken link.

Quite clearly its a design fault, the loom routing should have been much better. Its now cable tied up and away from the starter and in the summer will be properly repaired, its not actually that bad but i am a bit concerned that the wire when stripped back was a bit black, its been exposed to the elements for quite some time.

Its possible, but i was told it was replaced and also the injectors were renewed. The leak off pipes were dated Nov 2006, 2 years newer than the van, so there may be some truth in that.

Lets hope so. Been a very steep learning curve for me also.

All i need to do now is sort out the revs holding, any ideas Martyn? Oh and the small fact of the speed limiter being on but not enabled!
