side door wont open

Oh deep joy I now have this problem to.

Well that didn't take to long , get inside the van , go to the bottom off the left hand side of the sliding door ,pull a bit of the door seal away , put a jemmy bar in between the door and wall and push open slightly , now get spraying with WD4O , all around the contacts area , the door will open , then clean the contacts with wet and dry , and were back in business again . Sore ted .

My Mk 7 has a 2nd release (yellow bit) by the front handle but if you have the ply / hardboard off you can just work the cable to unlock

if you do get it open and are taking the mech out you need to close the latch to have clearence to manoeuvre the lock out through the gap.

actuator is held on by 2 screws, if its still working it could have moved as they have slotted holes to set them up
