Postby omega1 » Tue Mar 07, 2006 1:34 pm

Hi, Can anyone tell me how to reset the service light on my transit. I got the van serviced at a local small garage but they dont know how to reset the light. Also am i null & voiding my waranty by not using Ford dealer & Ford parts even although it is serviced in accordance with ford spec by a diesel mechanic who has stamped the book. Thanks.

Even if you don't need it, grab it.
The minute you do need it, it'll be gone.

I have our vans ( the last 2) serviced by our local garage, they are Ford trained mechanics. They have told me that as long as they service to the Ford standard and use Ford parts there is no problem. On our 2001 Mk6, we had a problem with the gear shift cable, they got the local dealer to do the warrenty work.
