Must be a 200 T430 8)
Transit Amby's arn't so common on the west of Scotland, seen a 125 T430 mk6 intensive care unit the other week right enough. It's mainly vw's and sprinters. Tayside and Fife seem to have a few transit ambys thou.

About the only transit mk6 ambys you get is a couple of places in England

Scottish service is now bringing in mk7s though, not sure if ALL the new ones are transits?

This is a thread for big Jim, he knows all the ins and outs

scottish abulance service signed a deal with ford and ovg for full fleet replacement right into the mk8 transit, vw pulled the plug themselfs due to not meeting weight criteria set down by the ambulance service, but vw will supply them with new crafters till 2010, the transit is working out cheaper and is the favourit with crews aswell as mechanics.
glasgow currently run a fleet of 10 mk6 and mk7`s the mk6`s being predomintly favoured for intensive care units, the last sprinter shapped ambulances should be out of service by the end of the year. according to a source i know in the ambi transport service in cowcaddens.

Here in merseyside 95% of our amby's are mk6's 125 T430s :D . Along with the odd Sphinkter
At least I've got a good chance of going to hospital in a decent motor (if the need ever arises).

All the ambulances round my neck of the woods are sprinters, 413 and 416 of the old shape (although I've seen a 616 sprinter) and 518 in the new shape, couple of crafters too. The only transits I've seen are for patient transfer (non emergency). Up until 5 years ago it was nearly all Renault Masters.

Hi - wonder if it's ok to revise this thread to ask for honest opinions on the Transit 460 3.2 TDCi 200 T460L LWB as your comments seem favourable as they were launched - any experience as to how they worked out? We are considering a 59 plate one for a conversion - thanks in advance :)
