marked part on left is were ive used the engine breather connection to intake to connect new EGR pipe.
the marked part on right is were ive cut the metal pipe normally going to rear of engine to attach to exhaust manifold(allready blanked exhaust mjanifold) and joined the air intake pipe to a rubber hose then joined to this metal pipe.

Does anyone know if the EGR valve is supposed to make any noises etc as ever since new mine has made a slight
scuffing noise at low speed shortly after changing gear from 1st to 2nd. Apart from this everything seems OK and
the van runs well. The noise is however eliminated if the multiplug to the EGR valve is disconnected.

the only noise the valve makes is on the self clean cycle when you switch off the ignition, could have a fault with the motor in the valve?

im not sure on the layout of the mk7.

but basically the exhaust pipe to egr valve needs blanking at exhaust manifold, then this pipe needs connecting to the air intake before turbo but after MAF and thats it.

ive used the engine breather pipe, but after a short time today the crankcase pressure got too high and started to pass oil past injector oil seals, as the engine breather needs to have suction from the intake pipe.

so i tee'd in that pipe again and all has been fine allday :D no light no loss of power/boost no smoke no hessitance. :D

id put it on hold for now :!: :!: ,
my car has started to show signs off high crankcase pressure again, i'll have to to it routing it after the turbo, but so that theres still a difference in boost level so that it will still circulate.

are we any further on this?

iv been thinking about this and all i can see is that it needs the exhaust side blanked and the inlet side routed to the air filter, from wat i can tell is on boost it should be closed anyway :?: :?: :?:

so wat i was thinking is disconnect and blank the exhaust side

route the inlet side to the air filter and possibly fit a one way valve to it to only allow air in rather than boost out :?
