Postby dametrans » Wed May 26, 2010 7:36 pm

i have re rated my mk 7 minibus from 15 seater to 9 seater therfore i can remove tacho and speed limiter, today i went to ford dealers and 3 times they programed it with no limit, however it was still limited 100kilom or62mph, when i took it on road, help please, i should also note that when i even disconnected the tacho it made no diffference

recently our ids computer software has been playing up when re setting speed limits through the service functions menu, which is the quick way. i bet this is what they have tried to do. if they go into vehicle program parrameters, which brings up all the different options the van is equipped with they will be able to select no speed limiting from there. Had to do this quite a few times now.

The law is for vehichles with 8 or more passenger seats, it is not law for a limiter to be fitted to transits, but 100km/h is still a speed limit for vehichles with 8 or more passenger seats.

So the max seats you can have to exceed 100kmph is 8 including driver.
