why spend £300 quid on a tuning box when a proper remap only costs £200 nowadays.
i had my connect 200 tddi mobile remapped about 6 months ago mainly to remover the 70mph limiter
and it cost me £199, ive been very happy with it, price probably gone up a bit now try the website is www.advancedtuning.co.uk
if you are in NW, but van tuner does the whole UK I think but is a bit more money from memory if ur not in the NW

As i only paid £80.00 its worth a punt and also i can swap it to the next van or any other common rail diesel and its upgradable, worth a shot i think

I did but the same thing happened but i think my problem lies in the slight leak/weep from the fuel rail sensor and the fact when i got the van the map sensor and intake were all full of crud, these were all cleaned but i have read that this will improve things but a new map sensor would make a big difference, must admit i am liking the extra pull but its the power all through the range that is most impresive and 37mpg from a jumbo cant be sniffed at.

The box is adjusted either via laptop at a tunit dealer or via a rotary switch, as for the actuator rod its a 140ps electronic actuator and its fine unless i gun it to its max rpm the egr was replaced last november and when i cleaned out the inlet and map sensor i took of the egr and it was spotless, van runs lovely and has only brought the light on when it is gunned to the limit.

If the light is still coming on,then it needs to be turned down a touch more but its not much if it doesnt do it under normal circumstances.
I normally just go out for a drive with a screw driver and keep adjusting down a touch till it stops triggering the light. If you dont you will run the risk of limp mode when you most need the power and not only that its dammed annoying

Management lights and limp modes are designed to save an engine not wreck it m8. I doubt hes done any real harm if he doesnt drive it like that all the time

I know what the limp mode etc. is for and thats what im trying to say. The map he has on the van (box thing) is obviously not suited perfectly cos a proper map wouldnt put the light on at all unless there is a real problem with the van itself. That is why i personally dont believe in these chips or boxes. :)
