Like with everything in life you get good ones & bad ones, the reason these forumd are here is because we have problems, add up the members & it's very low in comparison with how many vehicles have been sold, I'm sure if you went onto the Merc Sprinter Site I bet they are saying more or less the same things, I know of a garage local to me that uses a Merc Sprinter as a service van, he proudly proclaims that it's the best van on the market, it's done 300,000 miles, then in the very next breath he says it's on it's 3rd engine, you can only really go by personal experience, I used to own a haulage company & tried them all, always came back to the Transit. who is right who is wrong, I have no Idea :D
Transit Custom Limited H1 L2 DCIV, now converted to van by removing the seats etc so now twin side loading doors, fully kitted out with Sortimo racking, always loaded to capacity & averages 35mpg :D

i have a mate who got a brand new sprinter box van last week ,on it maiden journey the clutch failed, the new sprinters a shite vans , people think oh mercedes ,it must be quality ,not any more ,yes ford have there issues as do most others ,but with cost and availibility of spares ,ford is the better option
