theres always two choices, run it with very little maintainance to save on money, and risk expensive repairs and run not at full potential and less efficient.

or look after it keep an eye on levels, cost a bit more to maitain, but far less risk of expensive breakdown, and will be nicer to run and more efficient.

if its ok now, then look after it and should be fine.

main things to watch for, regular oil change with correct decent oil. oil and fuel filters regular, also check water drain on fuel filter, injection systems can last very high miles as long as looked after aswell. good fuel also helps.
Make sure correct amount and type of antifreeze/coolant is in to protect all alluminium parts correctly, like eg cooler, oilcooler, heater matrix, Radiator, cylinder head and water pump.
Timing tensionor and maybe guides should be changed like you would a cambelt, EGR should be blanked, inlet cleaned as they cause more engine wear and make run less efficiently, there just to lower emmissions.

Solarman and ? others like this reply...(mock Facebook reply)winterheating bang on mate, just bought a campervan myself but have no service history and it's done 183500 miles when i got it,i'm having to get work done on it this week as it's been running well and not let me down apart from oil leak and battery/cold start problems, have to see what happens after
work done but i'm optimistic and hoping to go abroad in it in the new year,
Solarman.
