Some armrests are ajustable via a knurled knob on the very front of the rest itself....

if you check the underside of the black bit of the armrest you should see a small blanking plug. remove it and with a long thin screwdriver turn the screw colckwise and that will raise the arm rest. the other picture looks like the radio/cd auxillary jack connection. regards andy

Ford decided against putting the nice adjuster at the end of the Arm rest as a cost issue...!!
As andy63 stated remove the small round blanking Plug, however when I've done mine in the past its easier to remove the small screw and remove the whole retangular shaped piece of plastic and then get yourself a long flat end screwdriver,if you shine a torch down the "inside"of the Arm rest you'll see the screw that alters height adjustment...
Wind in or out for up n down...sorry cant remember which way for what though :)

mine was a flat blade job. it is a bit fiddley. did you try removing the black trim piece as suggested in a previous post. whatever you do dont unscrew it all the way out. ta andy
