Tipper wont come down

Is it a lowering soliniod your talking about?? If so I've just replaced it

Nope.
It's purely a limit switch, on or off,body raised or lowered.

Has a rubber boot over a plunger,2 wires to it.

If your on about the soliniod then I have just replaced it with a new one but the problem still persists. Or is there another switch

It's not a solenoid,
Nowhere near tipper pump or motor.
It's mounted on the frame that tipper rests on when fully down,just at back of cab.

It tells the control box on dash if body is raised or lowered fully.

When van was new,there would have been a VFS tipper manual with it showing a pic and listing all parts also...
In glovebox.
No doubt that's long gone.

Do you have a link to a picture so I can locate it the solenoid I have for has two wires with a rubber boot and a nylon hat that the body/bed shuts on to

I think we are talking about the same thing. The Bloke at VFS called it a solenoid

Ive found the fellow at vfs very knowledgable and helpful when my tipper stops going up or coming down.

I just had the same problem tipped some
Hardcore off and wouldnt go back down but would go up more, i had to undo a nut with two wires on to let it down slowly, now i am stuck with when the lowering solanoid arrives which is what i believe it to be, how do i get the bed back up, will it have enough fluid to get it back up
