so if i understand this correctly, if you own a mk7 and want it to work best phone vantuner and ask if he can delete the egr function in a remap, and if so, thats the way forward - win win so to speak!

i still aint worked out how to do it yet (on mk7's) 
for egr/dpf deletes, power tuning, updates,cloning,speed limiter removal,cruise control, euro 3/4/5/6 limiters & key's !
