Transit Connect 05 Reg Wipers stopped working & oil warning

Postby mcb36 » Fri May 17, 2013 10:24 am

Hi,

Re: FORD T220 CONNECT TDI (75) LWB

My wipers on my 05 Connect have stopped working, when i turn them on i can hear a tick tick noise, like the relay is sending the message to the wipers - but they just don't work, I have checked the fuses - seem ok, i have even replaced the relay, the wipers worked for all of 15 mins and now i have exactly the same problem?!! Keep hearing the tick tick noise when switch them on, the water jet doesn't work either??!

Please can anyone advise what they think may be the problem or anyway to fix it....I am hoping it wont be a replacement instrument cluster as I've heard thats expensive!

Also, another fault - the oil warning light keeps coming on / flashing, but this isn't all the time, only flashes when i accelerate under load.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks.

Check GND on wiper motor.

Also check connection on oil pressure switch, when was the last time it had an oil change :?:

The instrument cluster only operates the intermittent wiper, normal & high speed is via relay.

this might be a stupid question but-
where is the GND on wiper motor? GND you mean ground?

I just changed my gear selector cable and now my window wipers and water jet don't work,
I checked fuses, relays look fine.
anyone got ideas ?
