What clutch kit for a Connect TDDI?

Postby Cresser » Tue May 14, 2013 7:17 pm

Does the TDDi and TDCI use the same clutch?

Do they both use solid mass flywheels? or is it a year thing for solid mass flywheels / dual mass flywheels?

Here are some links to what I have been looking at. Anyone got any thoughts on them?

Thanks for any help

I'd go for a Valeo clutch and slave cylinder, its whats usually fitted from factory, I'd also pop down to your local motor factors or give them a call, they might price match or beat that price, keeping local businesses going :)

plus if its wrong then you can just take it back instead of having no van for a week while a replacement gets posted.

Valeo , LUK or sachs. Either one of those will be spot on.

All connects as far as im aware dont have a DMF flywheel well all the ones ive done clutches on have been solid and no need to replace the solid flywheel unless its damaged. Replace the concentric slave as well

The lower PS connects have a solid flywheel. The higher PS ones with the Siemens injection system have a Dual Mass, which can be replaced easily with a SMF conversion kit.

I thought the higher PS had solid flywheels on the MK2 connects. Sorry if I am wrong but I am 99.9% sure that some connects have a dmf!
