performance exhaust system

Postby nyron gaf » Thu May 16, 2013 11:05 pm

Hi all, hope all is well, I found out this afternoon that my 08 connect exhaust has a break in it, at the rear box end ( the pipe that goes into the rear box). Was thinking to get a performance exhaust to replace it with, but not sure where to start, would be very grateful if anybody has any info on where I could purchase this from, or any links for this exhaust, best to regards nyron

Hi mate ,, DON'T go for the decat pipe ,,, your van will fail the mot if it hasn't got a cat on it ,,, any vehicle manufactured with a cat on has to have a cat on when you take it for a mot .

Mot rules changed in April this year, has to be physically there, although emission test doesn't need it to pass, so there's no need for the cat to have the right bits inside it ;)

Just saying, those is the rules now, so if he's thinking of a decat then the rules have changed from last year. I think the mot guys just ignore it at the moment like your saying, but its a defo fail.
