reversing camera

hi guys going to try to fit reversing camera its the type that fits on to your rear view mirror as i dont want to have cables from the monitor to the dash is it possible to take the feed from the interior light or is it best to run cable from cig lighter for the power

Take a link off Gig lighter to a switch on dash. Then you can use it from the switch when you start up.. Ive done that for the HD Video camcorder in my windscreen to capture all the idiots on the road.. Like this in link..

Don't really want it "on" all the time as it will drain power, guess its wireless on you would be running wires anyway. You could run it off the light and just put an extra switch in line to it, but that won't stop you leaving it on by mistake. Best way is always properly on reverse supply.
