Moondust Silver applied. Not the best result I've seen, will need a good polish to get rid of some clearcote overspray and a couple of insects catched :( In the first photo only base color is applied, which explains the flat grey look. Base color is water based and acts very diffirent to what I've tried earlier. Door handles and locks now in silver, give the van a little modern-look :D
More to come . . .

Hi
Next is bumpers, wheel arches etc.
Decided to paint these parts a darker shade of grey to give the car a 2 tone look 8) Wheel arches and front bumper was extremely faded and looked very dull. At this stage I really hate preparing parts for paint and I'm never going to paint this amount of plastic parts again. 42 plastic pieces were cleaned, prepared, primed and then sprayed in filler several times, sanded again to get rid of the nobby surface :( :( :(

Arches, bumpers and wheels in shiny new paint :D
The dark grey parts came out very good, guess I learned the lesson from the silver parts. No more painting to do :D Lost count of the times I've cleaned the spraygun and lost my finger prints in the sanding process too :(
Next is assembly

Connect is on the road again :D :D :D
It's 99% finished, only minor things needs to be assembled. Just came back from a 700 km round trip to visit my family, it didn't miss a beat and did a very decent mpg too. Since the engine rebuild I've changed the oil/filter once to get rid of the start up oil. The starting is great and the new piston rings are settling fine, no water or oil dripping either. At the first km's I was very nervous and almost looked more at the instrumet cluster than the road ahead.
I've never driven a Connect before and must say I'm impressed, it's a nice little runner. Only got one picture so far but will post more once it's cleaned after this trip. It got a little retro writing on the sides too, my wife is working as a Sign-technician, and she made it.
Used way to many hours on this one and probbably to much money as well, but I got a bit carried away :?
Perhaps not to everyones taste . . . .
Here we go :D

Fantastic work.

Did you take a exterior before the work started?

Would be fun to see the comparison.

Hi JayKay3000
Thanks :D
I forgot to make a good before picture. The car arrived on a trailer in very poor condition, the only photo I've got is this one :(
