Turning my connect in to a crew van

Postby Mikyg » Thu Aug 16, 2018 8:50 pm

Hi everyone, so i bought an ex police transit connect LWB 2011 plate.
I got it with the intention of turning it to the family van/work van

This is where im upto
1- i have ripped the floor up in the back to reveal the footwells
2- i have bout crew seats that i hope to death fits my van, i was assured they will
3- i brought them home and im up for the challenge.

SO my questions are if anyone could help it would be great,
1 - have i messed up with this decision? Lol
2 - does anyone have any idea where the bracket fixes to that when your put the seats back they click on to support the back rest?
3 - does anyone have any idea the exact location of where the brackets that fit to the floor go?
4 - does anyone have any pictures of where all the brackets are fixed?
5 - does anyone know where i can buy the carpet/mat for the rear footwell?

Thanks for and advice and sorry to go on lol.

I have a Tourneo, these pictures may help. I believe Tourneo and Crew cab rear seats are different but stand to be corrected. Do you have Tourneo or crew cab seats ?

So having had a closer look at your pictures.
1. They look like Tourneo seats.
2. I cannot see any captive nuts in the floor for your seats to bolt to.
3/I cannot see the recesses in the floor to take the seat catches

Yes i believe your right, i could maybe mount the seats with steel underneath the van for strength but i think i'd have to have some brackets to catch the back. A lot mor messing than i'd hoped for.
