been trying for a few days to get bonnet open on my 2003 model no luck with the key keep pressing down on bonnet as well but still no joy,any ideas as i need to look at water oil,etc

only a little each way,done all the pressing down on bonnet trying to flick it wd 40,but still no ,i am going to get a new key cut monday if that fails dont know what to do ,thanks

press the radiator grill inwards around the key hole as you turn the key I have to do this to mine somtimes,

Have you opened it before with that key? Do you have a spare key you could try?

not got a spare key,i can only get a key cut on monday now,thanks for replies,but il keep trying it.

Have you tried taking off the grille? Are you sure it isn't frozen?

The key should go about 1/4 turn anti clockwise to release the bonnet about 2cm then turn it clockwise whilst lifting the bonnet

had the bonnet open lots of times,its not frozen,not had the grill off ,does it clipp off on sides,its a 2003 connect

turn the key upside down if its worn they work better one way than the other

I had this happend to me the other day. It ended up being that i needed a new key cut. £120 from Ford! complete rip off!
