A MTX75 gearbox from a Focus mk1 will be fine (not a Focus 2005 onwards)

remember to remove the gear selector mech from the top of your original connect gearbox & fit it to the Focus one, otherwise you will find your gears are upside down)

I have had a focus box fitted to my van when I first bought it. Mine is a 110 and I noticed that it isn't as sharp out of the blocks but is a lot better at motorway speeds as the gears seen longer, it will sit comfortably at 80mph at just over 2500rpm, which is what it used to do at 70mph. My mpg figures improved too.

I have only just spotted this reply, other than motorway driving once it was going was it a better power band than the original box? Does it feel little laggy in comparison? Cheers
Bailey.
