transit connect tddi dct code

hi i have a 2003 transit connect tddi 1.8 it wont start so i called a diagnostic mechanic out he cleared the codes and 1 stayed on dct p1300 (boost calibration fault) the guy said he think its somthing to do with the ecu on top of the diesel pump does any one know if this is right as i dont wanna buy one and it aint that thanks

ive never heard of p1300 being a pump fault code, pump codes normally start p16## or p15##, ive never seen this code either

yeah i looked on google and that there is such a code but need to find out to to fix it

you either have it towed to a dealer who can double check the codes and diagnose from there or get the full description from a scanner or google and do some wiring checks but you will need wiring multiplugs and wiring locations

see 11 codes came up but thay came up due to me trying to start it and it stoped everything working but now only has 1 code which is dtc p1300 which came up on his computer as boost calibration fail but i looked on wiki for fords and under the same code it says random misfire so im not sure if it is the pump i will buy a new one as the van has been good to me and has had no trouble untill now lol

random missfire will only come up if its a tdci as the injectors on them are pulsed by the pcm and any faults are picked up but the fact its a tddi then the injectors are just opened by mere fuel pressure so count that out

i was thinking that cuz it only said that on one site so the guy said he was sure it was edc chip on the pump

But I thought that a code could come up for tddi if engine randomly briefly stops????
Like just one of the normal pump codes though.......

mine is a transit connect t200 swb 1.8 tddi 75 ps

yep one of the codes is 1664 if i turn it over but after they all go just p 1300 stays on all the time so that must be the sourse of the problem

but all these go off but p 1300 wont go off it stays on

Looks like its your code reader. Not the van.

P1300 may be a ford code but prob not a connect one...
