TDCi in tank fuel pump question.

When you turn the ignition to start, should you hear this pump priming?

Any info on this would be great help.

no connect diesel has a fuel pump in the tank, only petrols have them :D

Thats strange, Ford seem to think that I do have a pump built into the sender unit? :?

All I do is fill in a parts request form on http://www.fordpartsuk.com/ thats how I obtain my part numbers if I don't know them and find out if its too expensive to buy. A very useful site recommended by my local main dealer a few years ago as they couldn't get a particular part for me and Ford Parts UK came up trumps! :wink:

well all i can say is i wish my 09 tdci connect had a pump in the fuel tank, it would make changing the fuel filter so much easier
