2 stroke oil in diesel have you tried it ???

Hi guys ive been read on another forum that putting 2 stroke oil in with the diesel when you fill up helps make the pump/engine run better have you tried this what are your views. Ive not tried it myself yet as im searching for more info 1st

i had a 2/hand pump fitted about 1 year ago and it was a pig for weeks
cuting out. some times 5 times in one day so i try the 2/stkoke oil
and after a bit it got beter.
now it a year from fitting i use a bits of millers oil on most fill ups.
and it dont cut out at all
still a pig to start from cold.
after that runs like a dream all day in and out.
