Postby woolf » Thu Jul 17, 2014 6:04 pm

Ive had 2 cd players in my Tc in the past year as they both broke but now the display on my current one is all messed up and sometimes doesn't show at all........Is this one knackered too or is there a reset button?

If it is knackered any recomendations for a replacement that wont break in a short time period. mines is a cd 6000....

My sole recommendation is to ditch the optical media and go for flash and/or BT streaming only.

The CD6000 is normally a reliable unit.

However there are a few aftermarket alternatives, that you can fit instead. Some have bluetooth, TV, DAB in fact pretty much every feature you'd want.

Have a look on ebay, but avoid the "no name do it all" units. The Pioneer one is superb, it cost over £700 new but they are available used for about half that amount.
