Postby tante » Mon Jul 21, 2014 11:04 pm

I having problems with my transit connect sport it's lacking power and now seen it has a leak on the 3rd injector i booked it in last week at ford and they said the egr valve faulty and the 3rd injector was at fault but was no leak then. so I got a blanking plate of ebay now the 3rd injectors leaking would this cause power loss when leaking desiel?

I take It they some seals I can get?

If its leaking then you'll be loosing compression and you can buy the injector seals from ford

If you recon your existing injector it wont need recoding but if you replace it then it will.

If EGR fault is present, it may cause engine to run in "Limp Mode" (Reduced engine power)
Blanking plate won't cure a Faulty EGR valve on Euro 4 engines :!:

Injectors for connects from 2006 -2010 (Euro 4) are as follows :-

110ps injectors are 4M5Q-9F593-AD
75ps & 90ps are 7T1Q-9F593-AD
2007 Ford Mondeo mk4 1.8 TDCI -RETROFIT IN PROGRESS
2009 Jaguar X-Type 2.0D
2010 Vauxhall Insignia- RETROFIT IN PROGRESS
