connect engine swop from tdci to tddi

Hi guys!
I'm new to the site and would like some help plz..
My engine blew in my 2007 connect tdci, And I were told I could put a focus tddi engine in from a 2002 mk2?
And also told me too cut the injectors wires and put the old 1 off the focus on!!!
The van turns over and starts with easy start, but won't fire up
My electrician told me it's because it as delth injectors and not the lynx 1s (or other way round)

Here's wat we've change= we took the focus engine out and stripped it all down to the block
Then put all the bits off the tdci and put them on the focus engine, change the brain and keys plus emobalizer switch.
Like I said its turns but won't start... Only with easy start!!

Is they any other way I can try? Eg engine loom or do I after replace it with the same engine KDDA

Welcome to the forum

2007 connect with a blown engine - easiest option is to replace with a KKDA engine from a 2005 onwards Focus (Straight swop)
No need to change ECU (Brain) or wiring looms (ECU has 3 plugs), they use the same Fuel systems (Siemens injectors & fuel pump) - Euro 4 engines

The following engines are NOT compatible with 2006-2013 connects. Due to being Euro 3 & wiring looms & fuel systems are completetly different

Focus TDDI (C9DA) Engine uses a Bosch Fuel system (Injectors & Pump) Compatible with connects from 2002-2006 ONLY - ECU has 1 plug
Focus 2002-2004 TDCI (FFDA) Engine uses a Delphi fuel system (Injectors & pump). Compatible with connects from 2002-2006 ONLY - ECU has 1 plug


After reading your post, I'm confused.......

What engine have you fitted - Focus 2002 TDDI engine

No sorry it was a tdci engine off an 2003/03

No it won't run that 2002 Focus engine (Euro3) uses a Delphi fuel system.
