I have recently purchased a new 2014 Connect limited in deep impact blue and I'm picking it up tomorrow.

I can't see a section on the forum where it is dedicated to the new connect? As there is one for the custom....

There isn't one as the amount of members that will own a new connect will be very very small compared to the number of big transit owners. You could well be the only member in that section. You would get a far greater response to amy questions in this section.

With any luck I'll be dropping my '09 T230LX off and collecting an L2 Limited 115PS next week - at any rate it'll have to be before the end of the month as the tax expires on the '09.
We got £2250 trade-in from the 230; I tried talking them down so I could buy it for myself but couldn't justify 2 grand... anyway it'll be coming to an auction somewhere in the UK soon, no doubt!

I have now covered 200 miles in the van and all is well, the only slight gripe I have is getting used to the different torque/gearbox ratio(if they are different?) particularly in 2nd gear it feels very flat below say 1800rpm, seems leggy almost compared to the 1.8 tdci! On that note, what is the rules on warranty and remapping these vans? Is it something I would need to run by my ford dealer?

The new transit is a dream to drive. Plenty of power and so, so economical. Plans to convert the vehicle into a day van have started with the fitting of rear, tinted windows in the barn doors. Next stage...insulation.

Fairly sure Ford will tell you that would invalidate your warranty
