Lift off/acceleration clunk. NOT GEARBOX STABILIZER

Hi,

2003 Ford Transit Connect LWB 1.8TDCi

Replaced the bottom gearbox stabilizer 3 months ago as it failed...snapped and it has just happened again.

Replacement on the way but is the problem further back up the drivetrain?

When driving the van has a delay/slight clunk with liftoff and acceleration.

Top engine mounts look good maybe a drive shaft, thrust bearing who knows.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Not likely I think. Definitely feels like it's engine/trans related. Power through the pedal isn't quite right.

Had a look though and it's fine, thanks anyway.

have you checked the gearbox stabilizer

Loose subframe mounting bolts.

That was the cause of a similar fault on mine. Took three garages to find it.
