Halfords fuel filter? You're brave!

Wouldn't trust one of those myself. Especially with the most expensive system to repair on the engine.

You buy diesel in cans by any chance as that's the only time I have seen a lot of water end up in a tank

I've heard from family members having water in the diesel and petrol when they purchased it from a local supermarket.

Still having trouble,
I ve cleaned tank, lines and fitted a new filter, had a nightmare bleeding it but think I am there now, got diesel coming out the injectors all though doesnt seem to be very high pressure' only squirts a few inches?

Any way bloody thing still not starting, I ve pulled the codes and have:
P1563 injection pump control module requesting stop
P1664 injection pump control module malfunction
P0216 injector/injection timing control circuit

Have I got these codes because of the messing around cranking/bleeding etc or is the pump knackered or something?
I ve got the cam belt cover of so I can check the pump timing, was worried it might have jumped a tooth or something, however belt and tensioner look in good condition.
There is a mark on the cam pulley and on the pump pulley but can't work out what they line up with.
Can someone help me with this?

Thanks in advance?

Ok thanks looks like the P0216 was in reference to the timing solenoid in the pump, I think my pump is knackered can anyone help me confirm?

Thanks

P1563 injection pump control module requesting stop
P1664 injection pump control module malfunction

Are common for faulty fuel pumps - EDC bolted to top of pump has failed :(

Thanks Paul, where is the best place to buy one? Shall I change the whole pump or just the EDC?

Thanks

I’ve got issues with my connect and my mechanic has told me the fuel pump needs changing.

How much is a refurb dieselboy?
