Speed limiter can be easily turned off via Ford IDS. (Its one of the programmable options on ECU)

I have done several already :D

some can't
if the dealer turned it on then yes but if the vehicles where bulk ordered from ford directly with limiters as std then fords say they can't turn them off

i work for a commercial vehicle dealer and we have had to replace loads

So I think the best thing to do is get to a main dealer and see if it can be turned off and failing that it's new ecu time ££££££££

A member on here - teldec whos 2011 Connect had a "factory" speed limiter, was limited to 70mph - Some firms couldn't turn it off.
He came to me & I had it disabled within 15 min. & that's using a genuine VCMII which the latest IDS software 8)

(Which is currently v93.02)

as above paul did mine for me after a local tuner could not do it, then came up with some rubbish that it must be an after market limiter.
drove up to paul and he had it off in minutes plus updated my software checked and cleared codes and added a 110ps map
very helpful guy, ford wanted 160-00 and to see logbook and a letter to confirm the legal owner wanted it removed.
