Not cheap but saves messing about in the mornings with scraper or deicer or having to leave van running to clear windscreen if your vans like mine that hasn't got heated windscreen .Some one posted on facebook tonight that they have just bought one seems a good idea just a bit expensive probaly get christmas out of the way then see about getting one

There've been problems with this, I believe one of the American car companies used this setup on their cars as original equipment, and there was a legal case surrounding it after some of the cars caught fire, and the heatshot was blamed. May be wrong, but it's worth a google.

If it works then would be cheaper option to retro fitting a heated front screen. I say IF as I dont know of anyone who's fitted one yet so will watch the fb group with interest as it does look interesting.

That system is used to thaw out frozen washer jets as it connect between them & washer bottle

Remember undiluted screen wash doesn't freeze. Washer jets may be blocked due to ice. Fit heated jets it's solves that problem....

My last Connect new heated windscreen cost £190 & heated washer jets with wiring was under £40

This demo vid of heatshot gives it away

Clearing frozen screens :?: I don't think so

If contents in washer bottle get frozen, then this heatshot system is a complete waste of time & might as well "let it go "

I just use an empty 4 pint milk container, filled with hot tap water to defrost my screen. It's free!

Always have done, on all my vehicles.

I've heard horror stories about people ending up with cracked screens, but I never use boiling water, and have never had a single problem in 15 years
