As far as I'm awRe the abs ones have a magnetic ring that's the only difference. They should be the same size as I doubt fords would make different hubs for abs and non abs.

iVE seen plenty of bearings on ebay for non abs models. An abs bearing will work on non abs model. I put SKF bearing in from euro car parts £40 and has gone again inside 12 months so hard to say how much you have to pay for long lasting one. Local ford stealer quoted me £120  Bought spare hub off ebay £35 so van is not off road

I had a Contitech one fitted a year ago and it went a few weeks ago. It had done about 20,000miles. Bought an SKF one from a bearing supplier and had that fitted. Obviously too early to tell how long it will last. But SKF bearings are great. premature failure can be down to how it's fitted. The passenger side front bearing is very temperamental as its the one thT gets all the abuse. A few Nm either side of the correct torque on the hub nut can have an affect on the longevity of the bearing.

Can you remember what the SKF part number is for the connect bearings? I don't want to pay dealer prices for something they buy in.

You sure it was an SKF front bearing and not SNR?? Euros don't list a SKF front bearing only rear.
