I bought a 2008 90 T230 at auction today, ex utility, fingers crossed.

Worthy of note was a 2011 90 WITHOUT DPF. Went well over my price barrier, shame.

Nice one :D

Post some pics of it

Picked it up tonight, drives nicely, I like it, all seems good,,, except
Harsh driveline snatch when coming off overun, could that be clutch drive springs or engine mounts?
Clutch pedal seems heavy, given the 100K mileage how long have I got?

Oh, and the radio is asking for a code.

£4300 + VAT + auction charges(mine were £450)
It was a feb 2011 T230 90 65K, white, minor dinks but a nice looking van.

Having been through the exercise I don't think the auctions are a cheaper way to buy, not at the cheaper end anyway.

If it's any help as a comparison, I gave £6800 plus vat for a 1 owner 2009 facelift 110 limited with 31k miles and full history, from a Renault main dealer in Stoke. They had to do about £1300 worth of work on it to MOT it, including replacing the heated screen, and one buckled alloy, tyres, etc. I thought it was a cheap van, that was in August last year. I had to replace the coolant sensor ( £13 ), otherwise, it seems fine. The one at auction sounds like a pretty good deal, on the face of it, given it's 2 years younger?

i scoured the auctions and found the same, by the time you added the buyers premium they went for silly money.
i ended up paying 5300 plus vat for my t200 trend 1 owner 11 plate with 100k on on it, i got the vat back so happy enough with that as i will keep it for a few years.
At auction they were going for 6000 plus vat and fees, crazy and this was nearly 6 months ago now.

My 08 100K T230 cost me £3300 all in without any MOT.
Confession time, I didn't read the T&C's and hadn't factored in the £450 auction charges.
Looking on AutoTrader my price seems to fall in between private and forcourt prices.
However I did get to look at several similar vans and I can be confident that this is straight from the Utility co. without a middle man wallpapering any cracks.

How does one post pics on here?

A word of warning incase you do any modifications to your new van. Some ex utility vehicles had different wiring looms to the regular ones. Bits missing or added bits. Overall the same but just take it into consideration
