2005 connect engine replacement

Postby Daveselwood » Sun Jan 18, 2015 10:41 pm

hi I'm new to this site and have just searched about swapping the engine in a connect .am I right in saying that as long as I get the engine from the same bhp van or focus and use my existing pump and injectors then it will work.thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum :D

See here for compatible engines  viewtopic.php?f=31&t=139282

If your Connect is TDDI then use your original pump - Save having to get pump on replacement engine reprogrammed to PCM (ECU)
Injectors are the same on both Connect & Focus TDDI

If you Connect is TDCI no need to change pump or injectors - simply code injectors to PCM (ECU)

It does not have to be the same BHP, I fitted a Focus FD9A 115ps tdci engine and box to mine:

The engine is a bhpa 75hp and I'm planning on fitting my old pump so am I right in saying that the 2 engine options are bhpa or focus c9da .if so there should be no issues or mods
