Slave Cylinder Hydraulic Connections

Postby Chazzer » Tue Jan 20, 2015 5:24 pm

Hi there,
Just changed the clutch and swapped to a focus gearbox, silly me didn't check if the slave cylinder connector would fit onto the current hose
Of course they are different

So short of just taking the box off again and putting the right slave in, are there any other clutch pipes, connectors or adaptors for different years of connects or ways of adapting them? Anything from a focus or transit fit?

Thanks in advance,
Charlie

Connection point is the same :D

Although I would have fitted new 3 piece clutch kit while gearbox was out.

PS, Did the focus engine where gearbox came from have a DMF :?:
If so & your connect has SMF, then yes slave will need to be changed :(

Sorry it was a new 3 piece clutch kit, it's a brand new LUK slave cylinder 'for a transit connect'
But the hydraulic connection is different to the one on the end of the pipe

I didn't read you post correctly

It should still connect ok, providing they have sent you the correct one.

Should look just like this when connected up.

That isn't mine, as I'm not with the van at the moment, but the black plastic right angled part is what is on the end of the pipe, and it is too long to go into the slave cylinder fitting.
What year is your van?

That hydraulic clutch pipe is for a Focus mk2 (it has a bleed valve on it) :?

It should be the same as this one below witch is fitted to all TDDI/TDCI Connects

Bleed valve is on CSC (slave cylinder)

That is odd, the parts guy at our local stealer brought out a pipe with that right angled connector on :?
And also said it was the only one on the system :?

New pipe it is then and another £120
