N/S Sill damage

Postby sitdownsurfer » Fri Jan 23, 2015 11:18 pm

Hi guys,

My nearside sill has a large dent in it, it always has since I bought it. And I'm now looking at fitting side bars, which would highlight the large dent :/

There is no chance to fill it etc, the sill needs repairing/replacing, do you guys recommend anything??

I have found this one:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Transit- ... 3f421acdfb

But its only a cheapo... any better options??

Cheers

I recently had my sills replaced using those repair panels from ebay, they weren't a bad match up so would recommend using them. I tried my local ford and was just told no they can't get them, you might be more lucky though

I know its all location relative, but how much did it cost mate? I only need the n/s doing :)

I have seen the ford panels on ebay, but at around £150 I'm not sure if they're worth it..

Ooooh mr Surfer!!!

I do like your roof rack and awning!

I have the same issue with my sills... they had been battered to hell and keep needing patched at the mot, so am thinking of getting both sides done with the ebay repair panels - at least they would match.

For now, bodge patches, filler and stone chip I have... it not pretty!

theres some good copy sills on ebay at the moment its a lot better than the ones that are all straight angles have the door step on them and curved at the bottom with the triangle jacking pointers on around £65
