Hi guys (and gals), now I have trawelled through as many pages as my eyes could take, but need to ask a question.
(my 1st Mk6 Tranny)
My Mk6 SWB 85 T300 panel van has exhaust gas coming into the cab. I believe it is pulling it through the back doors. (I have had this on previous Mk5 vans).
My question relates to diverting the tailpipe to a side exit, thus removing the gasses from being sucked into the back. Door seals all look fine, I have a bulkhead fitted, which on my 1st run of 100 miles I had to stop & duck tape any gaps/vents/holes in the bulkhead over. This helped a hell of allot (was seriously eye streaming bad!), but still getting a slight whiff of exhaust fumes in the cab.
Garage checked engine bay, no leaks anywhere so MUST be sucking it in the back.
Is there a conversion/trick/part or otherwise that I can get/do to turn the tailpipe to exit at the side of the van, behind/infront of rear wheels? Being a SWB van, it doesn't leave allot to play with.
Im not holding my breath waiting for a suggestion, I do enough of that driving the beast
Thanks all
Bill
