Welcome to the Forum. :D

Any gearbox from 2003-2006 Connect TDDI or TDCI will fit.

or as an upgrade. A Focus mk1 TDDI or TDCI gearbox will also fit. (Focus gearbox has a better ratio than connects)

2009 Jaguar X-Type 2.0D

It's so much better that I have found myself racing (and winning) the people who want to use to closing lane to get ahead of you. It was out of the question with the original box.

@paul2012 would the same hold true for the 2015 Transit Connect?.. Would this swap be a better ratio or worse?.. Might be interested in a swap for a few better ratios.

I doubt a diesel manual box attaches to your gasoline engine.

Keep an open mind people.. I'm not referring to a diesel gear box on a gasoline engine.. I'm speaking terms of any upgraded gear box on a gasoline engine or diesel engine within specs. I would suspect that next time.. I need to post comment with more/specs on what I was asking. Cause people aren't being very open minded to change. Striving to be different is so rewarding.

Of course. Manufacturers have other reasons for picking the combinations of parts. Sometimes it's about longetivity, sometimes they have a warehouse full of useless sh*t like the Gen1 US TC engine/transmission combo, not purpose built for the TC.

2015 Connect is the US have either the

1.6 EcoBoost 178 hp engine - which is used here in the UK in several other Ford models with 6 speed manual gearboxes.

or

2.5 Duratec 169 hp engine - This US version engine is a l4 ( 4 cylinder) which is not available here.

We have the 2.5 Duratec l5 (5 cylinder) or 2.5 Duratec V6 engine other here instead
