Parking sensor question

Postby DHOCARL » Fri May 22, 2015 10:16 am

Hi All

Quick sensor query, i need to order 4 new sensors but i'm not sure what i can get away with, they seem to be a standard 3 pin sensor. On ebay they all refer to sensors fitting connects up to 2010 but mine is a 2012, any idea if they changed the sensor setup (i doubt it) just thought i'd check before i ordered anything. they have to fit within the carriers that slot into the bumper

Oh and does anyone know the code for the carriers, need to order a set as well, knobhead at the scrappy destroyed them trying to take the sensors out without removing the bumper :x

Those sensor are no good :!:

You require original factory fitment

Ford part no's for parking sensor holders.

LH outer & LH Inner F4975396
RH outer & RH Inner F4975397
Parking sensors are F5152354

These sensors will work no problem 8)

Thanks Paul

this morning i went down to Ford and ordered the outers and they seem to come up as one code, why is it there are left and right ones? from the outside the look the same? hopefully i have the right item!

to confirm those sensors will fit AOK in the plastic housing, ouch they're a little more expensive than i hoped. I might try my luck at finding some second hand ones, as a rule any idea what vehicles use those sensors, going by your link i'm gussing i can look out for some bmw ones?

Yes sensors will fit holders & are commonly found on other Ford models, BMW, Volvo, Jaguar etc

Reason for LH & RH is due to position of plug on sensor see below.
