been looking for a while now for a mk1 focus carpet for my connect , most are pretty worn out , tears ,rips etc,so im just gonna rip out whats left of my original rubber ,flooring ,paint the floor with an enamel paint or similar and just use rubber mats on top , who makes the best enamel for this job ? any recommendations would be gr8 cheers

Ive used protectakote rubber paint before its a non slip paint good at sound reducing too.

Thats going be noisy :-( Why not just buy a length of car carpet and shape with a heat gun? chances are you'll get it to mainly fit without one if done on a warm day.

I did that to a '72 HQ Holden in Australia then proceeded to drive it straight up the middle through the deserty bit.
Couldn't put my feet on the floor!

lol I live in Scotland mate ,more likely to be snowing in summer here, to coin a phrase in Scotland ,if you don't like the weather wait five minutes
