done diagnostics on a connect today none runner cog with explanation mark is on the codes i got

was p0087-61,p0089-61,p0088

fuel pressure around 240kpa which is low in my eyes

That's is way to low for a TDCI

P0087 Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low
P0088 Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
P0089 Fuel Pressure Regulator Performance

Providing diesel is not contaminated (water/petrol) & diesel filter has been replaced.

With the above DTC's It suggests FRP sensor (Fuel Rail Pressure) is faulty. :wink:

FRP is located on fuel rail (spider looking thing) that feeds all injectors..

they have it running they have changed the fuel pressure control valve on the back of the pump ,but the cog light is still on so am going back tomorrow to knock it out

So it is the sensor and not the regulator then?
56 350 2.2 130ps mk7 with 2 side doors 8)
65 290 2.2 125ps custom with 2 side doors 8)
07 350 170ps

the part they have changed is the pressure control valve on the back of the pump that is all i know till tomorrow mate

but its running but as above the cog light is still on :(

Was that the expensive bit they replaced then?
Keep the old 1 Lol

That's a Euro 4 engine. Yes Fuel pressure regulator is on back of pump (Siemens).

I was thinking of earlier Delphi fuel system (Euro 3) :oops:

yes its the siemans system and vary rare for them to fail so it was only pointing towards the pressure control valve or the sensor on the spider :D

but the cog light is still on so may also be the presure sensor as well yet but wont know till tomorrow :(
