Adjusting the rear doors

Postby doebag » Wed Sep 23, 2015 11:24 am

Well after three and a bit years of ownership, the rear doors have started rattling.
Is adjustment just a matter of closing the door, loosening the top and bottom catch bolts then leaning on the door before tightening, or is there a more technical way of doing it properly.

Not sure if it's any help but the mk1 focus used to have a rattling boot lid. Simple fix was a bit of electrical tape around the catch loop to tighten up the connection. Might be worth a go on the top catch loops instead of adjusting bits.
