Newbie si please excuse. Central locking fuse location

Postby Jimmy Cooper » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:16 pm

Hi,

Just got a "57" plate Transit Connect badged up as a T230LX TDCi from the company. Having read about the door light staying on (Mine does) and the central locking not working I assume it has blown a fuse.
Can't see this topic in search.
Now I have tried to find the fuse but without success. Not in the loom by pedals/steering column. Not in passenger side f/box nor behind it. So where is the flippin' thing please?
Cheers

Oh yes; done that. Half the weight of the vehicle is fuses but I just can't find that central locking one. Luckily I can lock and unlock the rear door and the front doors manually with the key but the sliding door has to remain internally locked for security.
Would be nice to have the CL working again though!

According to a little chart I built up a while ago, it should be F48. Also check F61. Both in fusebox behind glove-box.

Thanks but have already removed all the fuses one by one in that box to check 'em and they're all good. Am getting frustrated as I must be somewhere....................................!!!!

:? Isn't this more likely to be a faulty pin switch on the door lock :?:

Don't think so. Was testing a new fob battery & range so went like open close, move back. open close, move back open close, move back open ............................ nothing! Walk back into range.........still nothing etc etc
I think it just did the fuse. Wherever that is LOL

Does the C/L work with the key in the door lock :?:

No, the locks work just manually and like that are fine but not a peep/click/whirr from the C/L. Nuisance when door is opened and no light comes on. Switch light to 'normal' door use position and it'll still stay on even when door is shut.

Plus I find now the van makes a whooshing sound when you put your foot down (turbo leak?) and a few seconds later the yellow warning light which looks like a cog with an exclamation mark in it comes on for a few seconds then goes off. Oh the joy of having a 147,000 miles van driven by a bunch of non caring idiots before!!!!! :(
