new clutch issues

Postby shedrool83 » Sun Jan 17, 2016 9:56 pm

My mates 1.8 tddi was getting a new clutch fitted today from his mate.
This is the clutch they were supplied from euro
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Ford_ ... e2b&000069

Everything went together ok but the pipe connection on the new csc isn't right for the clutch fluid pipe on the van.

Anyone came across this before or can anyone confirm this is the right clutch they have been give.

Its a soild flywheel on his van .

I did notice on another luk clutch they have listed it says modified clutch pipe required in the description.

The CSC’s got superceeded on there and caused agro...The new style has the bleed nipple on it, the old doesn’t.
LUK say to buy the newer feed pipe from ford that has the 90 degree bend on the pipe.
I’ve seen people use the old pipe with the plastic 90 degree bleeder bend into the new style CSC
Or change the slave ‘exit’ pipe over where it splits, so you have new bearing internally and using the old pipes exiting the box:::
Hopefully this makes sense

They’re all the same physical clutch unless buying the Heavy Duty one.

Recycling old thread.
Having just fitted new Valeo 3 piece I was talking to a mechanic I trust and he said I should have bought the modified pipe as there is a design fault on the original which keeps the CSC under constant pressure.

Anyone know anything?
