Breaking mk3 mondeo - what will fit my connect?

Postby C8XY » Thu Feb 04, 2016 9:29 pm

Hi guys,

As title, what can I swap straight over on to our 2005 connect?
I think I'm right in assuming the silver door handles will fit, possibly the steering wheel but I'm not sure about the air bag?
It has pretty decent ford alloys, will they fit? Is the offset the same or would they stick out?

Any other bits I could swap before I scrap it?
Cheers

Seats! They fit straight in? Any modifications needed to the frames?
Thanks guys that's my weekend sorted

Edit: found this re: seats

The mondeo mk3 seat fitment is Identical to the mk2.

I had to fabricate steel mountings with 2" pillars at the front for them, As the runners on the seat at the front actually seat higher than the back.

If you just bolt the seat to a flat steel plate, you will found that the seats are not level, are tilted forward & sit alot lower that the standard connect seats.

I have Mondeo Titanium seats in mine and had to make plates for the rear mounting.

How's the seat height when installing Mondeo seats?
I like the connect seats height but they're not the most comfortable I've had.

Not quite as high as the Connect seats but not far off.
